It’s that time of the year again… the greatest holiday known to man is once again upon us! That’s right kids it’s FRIDAY THE 13TH! Time to celebrate the death of many a camp counselor along the scenic shores of Crystal Lake. Why not kick back and join the boys as they try to survive just ONE night in that camp… I hear it has a death curse! Also marvel at Ron’s almost encyclopedic knowledge of the inner workings of this terrible NES game from our friends at LJN!

We’re back once again with our second Let’s Play and this time we’re hopping on our bikes and delivering the latest news right to your very doorstep (or window) with the NES classic Paperboy. Will Jeff’s actual Paperboy experience translate to the game? Probably not.
Note: While Dave Mirra is a BMX superstar, but Jeff was actually thinking of Matt Hoffman… Sorry Matt.

Memorial Day in the United States is a time of remembrance and looking back. I took the time to look back at more of my Steam backlog and knocked out a huge chunk of it. With three days of no work, out of town friends and family having made no particular plans I had 72 hours with which to finish my goal of 3 games. At the end of the weekend I had not only beaten that goal but destroyed it with a final tally of 11 games. So without further ado lets quickly recap and get this large section of the backlog cleared out. Presented here in the order I played them.
Ok, so I’m not really BREAKING the rules more like bending them here. I said I would be doing this alphabetically, and I will, but I also said I’d do about one a week and here we are one day later so you’ll forgive this little transgression. I was looking for something to play the other day and asked Mike for his recommendation to which he told me to play through Spec Ops The Line. I had played the demo before and really liked it but I never got around to playing the full game. I picked this up during the last Steam holiday sale I believe but it has been sitting there ever since, today I finished Spec Ops The Line and boy what a ride it was.
I admit it… I’m weak. I strayed from my path of Steam completion and paid the ultimate price. But where SimCity and Origin have completely failed me it did give me some time to get back on track and complete the next game on my list. It’s a bug hunt man in Alien Breed 2 Assault!
Well today was a busy day for gaming as many high-profile releases dropped. While I’ve been avoiding most new games in favor of clearing out my Steam library and working on other projects there was one game that caught my eye and pulled me back into the world of full priced AAA video gaming. That game is SimCity, released on this day the fifth of March in the year of our Lord two thousand and thirteen. I’ve been playing for nearly 5 hours now and thought I’d hit you guys with some quick impressions so far!
Another week another game down in my continuing adventure to play through all the crap I’ve picked up in my Steam library over the years. This week brings us back to World War II in a flight sim that I have no real idea why I even own. I can only assume I picked this up in some kind of bundle at some point. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy the occasional flight simulator but I highly doubt I was seriously in the market for a middling budget WWII shooter any time in the past. Let’s take a look at Air Conflicts: Secret Wars.
